This is a very good tutorial on home painting with rattle cans . Sadly a lot of pics on this tread are gone but there's a ton of valuable info .

2K clear can last a few days by experience and I was told to store the can in the fridge once it's catalyzed to extend its life .

I had a CBX550 for over 17 years , in Canada you could still get a new 1983 in the crate in 1990 at your dealer for $1600. CAD

2R9 all over it , you should see 2R9 on the exhaust at the rear , same for the carbs , 3J7 for the Vin and motor  . 2R9 parts go for silly money , just take a look on Ebay UK . 3J7 bikes are different than the US 2V0 , it's more an european 2R9 dressed with the Daytona bodywork , the best of both world .

More pics , it look like a genuine TR2 frame and it's stamped accordingly as TR2-.....

I got my info on the 351 prefix on the motor from this model codes list , as I can see it's misleading . RD350 1973 is stated as 360 .

After some research , the 351 model relate to a Japanese market version of the R5 , could this be a factory replacement motor ?

Hi guys  , happy to be here again with the 2SW forum , I will pick up this bike next weekend , it's a 1969-70 TR2 350cc , 35th out of the production line so it's an early one . Surprisingly in good shape for an old racer with beautiful wheels and a straight aluminium gas tank , I'm looking at returning it to its former glory . As you can see someone spirited added some gears to ride it on the street . What puzzle me at the moment is the motor , a RD350 73-75 in race trim with a stamped serial number beginning with the model code 351 and 351 relate to a Japanese market only RX350Pro . What is a RX350 pro ? Not much available on the net about it. No history come with it but Yvon Duhamel rode one at Daytona with a record lap of 242 km/h , maybe ...

It will need the correct red front fender , tach meter with support an a throttle to replace the RD one .

What it should look like
