My favorite was Cycle Magazine which I was subscribed to from the early to late 1970's. I too couldn't wait for the next issue because I usually read it from cover to cover.

I think the crossover line is the same diameter as the fuel lines on my bike. Ordered them from Partzilla . Hose 420. That should still be ok with the EC 1/4" connectors? The line fits quite tight on the nipples on tank. If that line was only slightly larger than carb drain hoses no way the 1/4" fits. Is the EC price for 2 pieces?

Fuel line not drain lines and the package comes with both pieces. Barbed ends into the hoses and and then you insert the male end into the female fitting. Once this is done fuel can flow through the crossover but when you un-couple them the fuel flow will be stopped.

I bought the coupler (1/4") from EC and it works well for me. Makes pulling the tank much less messy.

I've tried every recipe listed in this thread and can say with authority that Mark's magic elixir is the best. Again, outdoor use only due to possible toxic fumes.

I second that, it works great!

Back in 1977 I rode my RD350 from Columbia to Myrtle Beach a couple of times during the summer, about 100 miles each way. I was 18 back then so I didn't know any better.

I've used Marks mixture for the last 2 years and it works great but definitely use in a well ventilated area.

I did it in my ignorance, I was trying to help the mid range stumble on my RD400 and read that a cross over pipe would help so I bought a set of RZ manifolds to modify. If this is the wrong direction what are other members using to mount their cross overs or boost bottles?

That's good news, looks like I can salvage the one I cut into the sealing lip. Do you go down to the metal or just until the rubber is smooth and flat?

Wouldn't that sand the sealing lip off also?

I already have the Banshee cross over tube so will it fit the UPP manifolds?

I assume patience is the key here. Do you just cut them flush or taper them to the inlet?
BTW how well do the UPP manifolds fit?
