Greetings All, hope it's ok to enquire of the hive mind for a first post! Wondering if anyone has got a Banshee crank, or derivative, running in RD350 air-cooled cases? I've read quite a few posts claiming that it's possible, either as a drop in (if you're lucky,) or by machining the outside webs of the crank / fly cutting the inside of the cases. The webs, rod and labyrinth seals are different, but I think the cylinder spacing is the same for the RD350 / 350LC and Banshee. I'd really like to build an aircooled 65 x 58mm motor (short stroke RD400.)

Cheers!

They're definitely a bit wider, I'm hoping to find out if the cylinder spacing is the same. Keeping my eyes peeled for a junker banshee crank that I can do some proper measuring with in the meantime.

Ta!

cyl spacing IS the same center to center. you can get a stroker rd crank done though

Ah, that is good news. Much appreciated!

4mm Banshee cranks have got soooo cheap, it's extremely tempting to try and mod to fit them. I'm finishing up another motor at the moment, but I think I'll have to investigate as my next project. I've got some tatty old cases to throw at the cause.

reach out to vitos, they can probably do a drop-in crank 4mm stroked
