I have an RD350, and currently it has a DS7 250 in it, which is fine, but I actually have a running RD400 motor sitting in my garage. Would it be possible to swap it into the RD350 frame? I would think so, but I am not sure on the frame mount measurements. I can fabricate my own mount tabs if I need to.

I'm sure this has been done before. I mean how could it not have been.

Can anyone help me with resources to accomplish this? Thank you in advance.

Goes right in, use no rear upper mount or custom fab up a rubber mount and take off heads to install, then put back on once the engine is in.
Will have to fuss with mounting pipes at the rear hangers using 400 chambers. If you ever want to remove the cylinders in the frame the cylinder top fin in one area needs to be cut out. I have pics if needed. I have never tried with stock pipes.

Okay thanks Chuck. Sure beats trying to find someone to let me measure their 400 frame! Because that was my next course of action.

I would totally be interested in pictures. I can give you my email in a PM if you want. It will be a little more interesting because I have an MZB ignition kit that I might as well put on while I have everything apart. Mmmm wiring.

charging system is different as well, since you have the mzb this is a perfect time to do it.

I had one with a 400 motor, it was a lot of fun.  :toot:
