The TT got underway today, however Day 1 was called off during the final untimed free practice session of the day. There was a serious crash at Parliament Square that resulted in a red flag.

Tomorrow is qualifying sessions for Superbike, Supersport, and Sidecar. The event runs May 25 to June 6

Weather has been perfect this year, so times are fast. Sun, warm temps, no fog, and good visibility.
Apparently the Day 1 accident was serious, it sent several spectators to the hospital as well as the rider.

Day 2 was going great and almost done when there was another red flag, this time for a sidecar crash at Brandish.
As usual, it's Dunlop leading in Supersport, and in Superbike the fastest are Harrison and Hickman.

Another eventful day and another sidecar incident, this time it was the Crowe brothers at Crosby jump in which their outfit went airborne and flipped. The event was again red-flagged and both of the brothers were said to have suffered leg fractures. They were leading the class in qualifying and were more than 5mph ahead of the field. Due to the crashes of the Crowes and of Maria Costello & Shaun Parker the day prior, officials have suspended the sidecar class for the rest of the event. And this comes after restrictor plates were introduced in the sidecar class this year to lower speeds and make the racing more competitive.

Sadly Daniel Ingham was killed in Wednesday evening Supersport qualifying. Although it was his first TT, he had raced the course annually since 2016 in the Manx GP, and won the Senior MGP race in 2024 and podiumed several times.

Yeah, I have been following. A friend of mine is over there spectating. I can only imagine he is totally bummed that sidecar is cancelled. That's all he ever wants to talk about. Which I am fine with, but he's there for it.
