I hate leaks. Cold weather came to VA snd I  had two small drips under the Gray Ghost RZ yesterday. The neutral switch started seeping (again). I had a new after market switch that leaked from the outset during the initial start up. We put in a used Yamaha switch and it leaked so we put some case sealant on the o-ring and that stopped it until yesterday. So I decided to put the original switch back in that never leaked which I changed for cracked screw ears.

I put a little Permatex anerobic sealant on the o-ring and snugged up the screws. Time will tell.

On to leak #2. Right beside the transmission oil seep on the shop floor I saw some 2 stroke oil. As it turns out the tank to pump line I thought I had changed during the build was in fact still in the package in my parts organizer and it is seeping where the hose slides over the nipple on the oil tank and the old hose is hard as a rock. I drained the tank and will finish the line installation today.

My buddy has got same issue on his RD400, we need to check on the neutral gasket switch.

Btw, that glass window for clutch looks neat.

Thanks. I put them on both of my RZs in case I ever need to adjust the clutch or change springs. It keeps you from having to drain the oil or the water. I got them from an Ebay vendor in the UK.

as far as the n switch, there's something going on w the case imho. nothing drastic but 3 switches even a new oring on 2 of them. we fought it when it was here. as well. 0.02

I agree. Between you and me we will figure it out. I ran it for 10 minutes today after I got the oil supply line changed out and checked it an hour later and no drips so far. The new line appears to have fixed the 2 stroke oil drip. It is supposed to be low 20s here tonight.

RE: aftermarket N switch covers, I bought several that come without the screw. Anybody know what size/pitch the screw is?

It's already a handful. Must have been a missile at 40 degrees.
