A freind with multiple vintage Yamaha sub 200cc 2t bikes has recently bought a nice running one but with no title. $1000, he says it was a steal
The going price I've seen for nice titled ones is $2500-3500
Bringing mine back from the dead. I paid $400 for it with a parts bike. No title. I'll likely have over $1800 in it when done and titled. That is without paint or chrome.

I think the location will affect the price somewhat but I would say somewhere in the $2.5K-$3.5K range.
They don't show up for sale very often. I think the last one posted here was a few years back and it was a steal of a deal.
There was a really nice one at Mecum in Vegas in January but it's not in the online lot listings. I saved my daily auction "green sheets" so let me check if I wrote down the result by chance. I probably have a photo of it too.

EDIT: Don't have any info on the one at Mecum. And oddly I just discovered that 3/4 of the photos I took are missing too.

he's asking 2600 and it's an hour away.  I asked for a vid if it running. he claims it dies, but want to see it. I'll probably pull the trigger it seems to be a really solid deal

Is the LS2 an updated version of the old Twinjet?
I love the LS2 style better.

That seems pretty decent.
"Doesn't stay running"...sounds like some leverage to me! Probably just clogged pilots.

I parked my R5 next to one at a show, and was amazed how little it was.

When I was a kid I watched a few LS2's get pounded until there was nothing left of them being used as dirt bikes.

I have a good idea on size, hs1 and yl1 ilk. my wife really wants to ride the yl1, but the shift pattern freaks her out. SO while this wouldn't be FOR her, she could def ride it and that's a plus.

My brother had one many years ago that he ended up trading for a RD125C. They are small. Also not very rigid. He called it the 'Flexi-Flyer' because of the flex from the spindly frame and forks.

It's more of like a miniature R5.
