For anyone who needs a title for an RD in the state of Michigan you are in luck!  Michigan has a "Certificate of Ownership".  The requirements are:  must be 10 years old and the value must not exceed $2500.00.  You can use Kelly Blue Book for the value, either resale or trade in value, which ever is less.  For the last year the trade in value for a 1975 RD 350 is $1530.00.  You must sign that you have exhausted all resources trying to locate the title.  Really, that's it, I just did this last Thursday.  Had my title in about 5 minutes.  You pay 6% on the trade in value, $91.00.  I have spent a lifetime with headaches at the DMV, this was the easiest thing I have ever done.  Hope this helps anyone in Michigan.  You do need to bring a copy/print of the KBB trade in value.  Form is attached.

P.S.  Kudos to the state of Michigan for having some plain old common sense with some of their laws/red tape!!
